I was born and raised in the finger lakes region of upstate NY, and as a child spent many hours fishing the small trout stream across from my house. These early experiences have shaped my love for the outdoors and perfected the skills necessary to consistently take fish in all conditions. My dedication to continuous learning and understanding of the factors which contribute to a successful day on the water is a never ending process. For the past 25 years I have been pursuing trout and salmon in the streams, rivers, and lakes across upstate and western NY.
I attended the University of Buffalo where I received my Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics in May of 2006. Even while attending graduate school I was always able to find the time to fish. After
Graduate school, I relocated to the Syracuse area and took a job
as an engineer with a local defense contractor. Weekends are always reserved for fishing. What sets me apart from other guides is my methodical and analytical thinking which allows me to easily establish patterns and determine precisely what type of presentation may work on any given day. As a part time guide I am able to pour my heart and soul into the limited time I have on the river…unlike other guides who become stale after day upon day on the river, I am always fresh and enthusiastic for the opportunity to put clients on the fish. Guiding is my passion, not my job.
As a NYS licensed guide (#5124) I look forward to providing either a wading or drift boat trip of a lifetime. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact me. |
